Meet Emily: Nurse, yoga teacher, and your guide to staying strong after 50

I’m Emily, a registered nurse and yoga teacher, and I help women 50+ stay strong, mobile, and independent through realistic movement, education, and community.

I believe getting older doesn’t mean getting weaker or giving up the activities you love. With the right plan and support, your body can feel stronger, steadier, and more capable than you may think.

Why I care so much about strength and independence

When I was 33, a traumatic injury changed my life. I suffered a broken back, arm, and hip. I couldn’t walk for three months and completely lost my independence.

My husband and my mom had to help me with basic things like getting dressed and even going to the bathroom. It was terrifying to see how quickly your body can stop supporting you.

That experience changed everything.

It showed me:

  • How fragile independence can feel
  • How important strength, mobility, and balance are as we age
  • How much we need clear guidance and support to rebuild trust in our bodies

It’s why I’ve dedicated my work to helping women over 50 stay strong, mobile, and independent for as long as possible.

How I can support you?

There are a few main ways we can work together:

Just a thought...

I know it can feel vulnerable to start (or restart) movement later in life, especially if you’ve had injuries, health changes, or bad experiences with fitness in the past.

My promise is to offer you clear, kind, and realistic support. No pressure to perform, no shame, and no extremes. Just steady, supportive steps toward a body you can trust.
